RUSSELL NORTON

A 2010 graduate of Fairmont State University, Russell Norton spent two seasons at Shorter University (GA), where he earned his MA in Leadership while serving as the defensive tackles coach, assistant equipment coordinator, head junior varsity coach and also worked with longsnappers for the Hawks. Russell joined the staff of Bluefield College (VA) for the 2014 campaign as the Rams defensive line coach and top recruiter. He has also gained experience as a physical therapy technician ans was an athletic department intern at Dalton State College.

Norton served as head coach of the Generals for the 2014 and 2015 USA College Football Bowls. In February, 2015, he resigned his position n the staff at Bluefield College (VA) to join American Football Networks, Inc. as Vice Presidemt - College Football Operations. His duties focus on the 2016 USA College Football Bowl where he will direct marketing and promotion strategies while staying active in coaching.
